Vimeo was undergoing a strategic shift from a place where talented creators post amazing videos to a platform that can help just about anyone make amazing videos. We needed to get the word out in a big way, so we made our message about as simple as possible. We also used punctuation.
In OOH, we talked about Vimeo’s various helpful features with bespoke messages for each and every placement. We wrote a lot. Our hands still hurt.
We also created a ton of animated pre-roll videos.
And if all this wasn’t enough, we literally found and licensed dozens of real Vimeo videos for BANNER ADS. And because they’re BANNERS ADS we literally had to REBUILD EACH VIDEO so they could work as a BANNER AD. I’m not even mad. What where we thinking.
